The Students section of your Teaching Hub is a key spot for student management, studio access, and more.
The Students section of your Teaching Hub shows you your roster of Forte Direct and Forte Connect students. From the Students section, you can also manage your student roster by inviting new students to join your Student list or removing students who are no longer studying with you.
Student Type: Forte Branch
Each student on your Students list is labeled by Forte branch:
- Forte Direct: you invited them to join your Students list
- Forte Connect: they found you and connected with you for a Trial Lesson via Forte
Forte Direct:
You've invited this student to join you on Forte.
Is your Forte Direct student listed as "Missing payment info?" Don't worry! "Missing payment info" just means that your student hasn't yet attached a payment method to their Forte account, so you are unable to use Forte Billing with this student to bill for lessons taught.
Forte Connect:

Forte has connected you with this student.
Regardless of your selected teacher membership type, you will always have access to the Forte teaching Studio with your Forte Connect students.
Forte Direct Invites

Use the Forte Direct Invites button at the top of the Students section to invite existing students to join your Forte Students list and take lessons with you in the Forte teaching Studio. Enter your student's email into the Student Email field, select the instrument Studio to which you'd like to invite your student, and click Send Invitation.
Your student will receive an invitation via email inviting them to create a free Forte student account and become a student in your studio on Forte. Once they accept the invitation, they'll automatically be added to your Students list as a Forte Direct student.

Sorting and Filtering
Use the Sorting and filtering drop down at the top of the Students section to sort and filter your students by name, instrument, or Forte branch (Forte Connect or Forte Direct) to keep everyone organized.
Direct Message, Shared Notes, Lesson Recordings, Remove from Studio
Click the three vertical dots to the left of a student's name to access the following:

- Forte Chat: Your direct communication tool with this student.
- Shared Notes: Every student on your Students list has a Shared Notes document, which is a live, shared document between you and the student. This document can be used to take notes during the lesson and to assign practice items. It can be accessed during the lesson by clicking on the Shared Notebook icon.
- Lesson Recordings: Using Forte’s recording feature, you can record all or parts of your lessons to be downloaded and viewed between lessons.
- Remove from Studio: No longer teaching a student and want to remove them from your Students list? Use the orange Remove from Studio button.
- Note: The student will be removed from your Students list but will continue to have access to the Shared Notes.
